Hey all,

So I think a lot of you are aware of the popular forum softwares such as Mybb, Phpbb, Xenforo, vBulletin, IPB etc. I recently came across another forum software call Burning Boards. So it is good? Can someone share their experience with it? Is it as good as the other paid forum software such as Xenforo?

I've heard a lot about it lately, apparently a lot of people like it.

It reminds me a lot of xenforo but I think I like xenforo better.

BurningBoard* 😛

I have used it recently and honestly Burning Board does what Xenforo can do but

1. A whole lot better
2. At half the price just about

It's a great platform and certainly updating faster than XF. I'd give BB a recommend over XF

A know that there are many more outfits dipping their feet in the water these days, as far as forum platforms are concerned. However, I still can't look past phpBB or vBulletin as the established software choices.

Variety is good also!!

All the best,
Cal 🙂

Burning Board has been around for quite sometime, I really liked the previous version (v3 I think it was) and the newest v4 even more.

v3 has given them some very large clients (who have many licenses each) and v4 has been getting more attention so really good luck to them.

Defiantly one to watch 🙂.

It's interesting. I remember one forum using it, it was some kind of game coding forum and I was often there 😀 .

I used BurningBoard back when it was v2 and I was impressed with it. It's definitely shaping up to be a big-name contender in the future, especially since vBulletin is fading out/dying off.

I remember using it once on a forum I was helping out on. It does remind me a bit like XF.
