Do you find that you mainly buy books, borrow (like from a library or friend) or get books for free?

I tend to buy the books I want when I can. I haven't been to the library in a long time now, a few years at least, and I don't have too many friends that read these days, so...buying is the best approach.

Ah... those strange things made of paper, I remember them well 🙂

I still buy books and vinyl records for the same reasons. Firstly there's more chance that the authors and musicians will be remunerated for their work and secondly because they have substance compared to the digital equivalent.

Digital versions removes many of the sensory aspects of what makes books and vinyl appealing such as touch and smell. It also ironically often degrades the artwork associated with both types of media.

I mainly buy books. I haven't been into a library in years (but 100% support them because they are a great benefit!). Would not be against receiving books for free either (either as a gift or from someone just trying to get rid of things they no longer have interest in).

I am not much of a bookworm, but I do like to acquire books that I can read when I have some free time. I mainly go for ebooks since they are more affordable. I can't afford to buy physical books, but I am always happy to accept them for free if they are offered to me.

I have bought digital book bundles and paperback books. I have a Nook and a Kindle and sometimes it doesn't hurt to come back to the things I haven't finished because all that information can be useful in practice.

I don't own or buy any books of my own. My kids have some that they read. My wife goes through phases where she enjoys reading. She's got a book case full of Stephen King and a few other authors.
