You can't deny Microsoft's dominance (about 90%), and Mac has about 8% of the world market, so "in all seriousness", the majority would probably use Microsoft OS. [*Source*]

My point is that if microsoft did not exist, the void would be filled. you implied in yoru post that they are the only operating system that is capable of googling anything.

If microsoft didn't exist, odds are ubuntu and Apple wouldn't either. I'm not too keen on both of their histories, but I know for sure that Microsoft led the way in computer technology for a period of time that had Microsoft not been around, we'd be significantly further back in technology today.

@Bono untrue As Microsoft had the first computer etc.. HOWEVER, If you watched the movie I forgot the named I believe Microsoft stole the idea from Apple. I believe it was Bill Gates.

The first actual "Visual" side of a computer, with the mouse and opening programs that you see and stuff was first invented by Apple. Then Microsoft stole the idea, put the taskbar on the bottom instead of the top, and just changed the look of it. And called it their own OS.

I still voted for google.

I pick Microsoft, so I can make the Microsoft Windows license a little cheaper and come in less versions since 100+ dollars for a Windows License is kind of expensive and there are so many versions of Windows like Basic, Home Premium, business, Ultimate, server, etc which make it difficult for users to choose which one is right for them.

I also enjoy some Microsoft Xbox 360 games, so I can have more influence on telling game developers to make enjoyable games instead of making stuff like motion sensing Kinect and consoles which Red Ring of Death so much in their older non-slim Xbox 360 models.

Plus, it be cool to make the Zune more popular then the I-pod and I-pod touch.

Also, owning the worlds most popular browser which is Internet Explorer will be kind of cool eventhough IE needs more improvements when it comes to speed, security, and reliability.

It's microsoft. I hate them. Mac / Linux is WAY better. For that reason, no microsoft. Besides, they are slowly failing anyways.

That's where you're wrong. You "interpreted" that I only said MS existed, but I did not imply, hence the response with statistical evidence. Are you calling me stupid enough to not know of other Operating Systems? 😛
