buy shoes from Wal-Mart?

Do you ever buy a pair of shoes from Wal-Mart?

Are they just as good as Adidas or Nike?

After I stopped working, I bought some shoes from WalMart and they would last a year. But they were VERY comfortable, it's just that they only lasted a year. This year I finally decided to make the leap to Skechers Step Ins and wow, I don't ever want another pair of every day shoes again that aren't like that. They fit, they're comfortable and they don't slide on the ice outside in winter. They're expensive though, about $70.
