On some really big forums I visit such as the main MyBB forum, they have lots of great forum posts and sometimes when you click through on the signature link (to visit the mybb forum), it will go to an expired or suspended domain. And, considering what clout the MyBB forum has, that could be good for SEO and search engine ranking if you were to acquire the domain for your own site. This happens with a lot of forums where the person just decides not to renew the domain but has put an intense amount of promotion into the links and those links are still out there. For this reason, do you think it is a worthwhile investment to buy those expired links and redirect to a forum or blog?

"Old" domains with a decent PR rank are priced accordingly. Registrars are reluctant to release and make them available at regular prices, and will charge a premium for the expired domain name or auction it off to the highest bidder.
Generally speaking, it is much easier to promote an old domain than a brand new name that was just created.

Sometime Expires domain would make we easier to promote the website.. but some domain leave by the owner because got banned by SEarch engine. so before you buy it, you need to check it first.
