Buying Articles - Good or Bad?

I must admit, I do buy the occasional article, but I have to say that I enjoy writing them myself more. I only buy articles that I feel contain information that either interest's me or is extremely well written and very informative. What is your opinion on buying articles? Why do you do it or why don't you do it?

It can be a good thing and it can be a bad thing, there is no correct answer I think. You could seek someone to write one up, and pay before hand, and only to notice that it is well... one sh*t arcticle. Then it can be good, as the writer who you request may be good and know what (s)he is talking about.

I don't really do it personally, i feel that if you buy articles and post them as your own they may not represent your opinions on the topic and just look strange if people ask you questions and you contradict yourself on them.

I see where you are coming from there. The article's that I buy, I actually read them before I post them and edit them to add my own opinion. So, I will be able to answer comments. So, you can say that I adapt it to be my own.

Yeah, I'd do that too. But some of the articles say on DP and stuff like that they just tell you what they have in them and you have to buy before you actual can read them so it's kinda hard.

If they say it won't be sold anywhere else etc. then thats a legal statement and so it cannot be posted any where else over the Internet. If its that good of an article, you can pursue legal action for copyright breach as you have authoritative permission.

I recall you telling me I didn't care about my blog if I ever got others to write some for me...this is quite odd.

My position on this subject is that it is fine. All bloggers get caught up and can't always have time to write. AND, sometimes it's good to hear someone else on your blog for a change.

I find no issue as long as its up-to-date and isn't copied off something else/you have full rights. I would of course edit it to be user friendly etc.
