i would like to say few things about link building here and big changes for my forum IMSpot. First couple of months was really good (didn't started any link building yet), i had some traffic, rankings etc. Then I've started to pay some firms to do link building for my webmaster forum since i didn't have much time for it (p.s. imspot is 3+ years old), and i realized that was a big mistake since all the links were off of very low quality. So as the time was passing bye my forum started to loose all traffic and all rankings dropped, i believe that my forum was even banned bcs of too many spammy links. What i decided to do then is to find all these bad links and add them to google disavow tool. And i did that, i even removed all the links from forums bcs i don't believe they are good nowadays. Then i've noticed a drop in the number of links in google webmaster tools, every day. After a while i can only see an improvement in impressions, queries, clicks and others. I would also like to say that you don't have to do link building anymore in order to get traffic and have your site to be popular, high quality content is the only one that matters. Create high quality content, no matter is it forum or a website, people share top quality stuff only and not some 2 words crap, don't you think. And that is what google wants from our websites!
