Does anyone know where else I can buy posts from? Such as a bulk amount for such and such price or a post-to-post site where you post on their site and they post the same amount on mine?

Also interested in sites that only sign up.

The only one I can find.
I'll look into that. And I already submitted my site to Postloop.

Hey guys, glad to hear Postloop is working for you!

If anybody is interested and has questions, let me know. I run Postloop.

Don't waste your money. This sort of thing in my experience and observations has never helped a forum more than very short term. You need a solid community to build a forum, and paying for posts isn't going to do it. I don't mean a big community I mean a solid one.

Now if someone else with a successful forum long term has experienced otherwise I'd be quite glad to hear from them and revise my opinion.

You said it all. :great:

Buying posts can be ok though because then you have something for the solid branch to post on. 🙂 Empty forums I don't think attract anybody. 😀

I personally say just get active members... Because if you get 83612 posters, because you post well when you stop... your just got 83612 inactive member

Hey, like I said, if anyone has proof that it works feel free to share your case. I don't come here and post to show off that I'm right. I post to share what my experiences have told me.

If your forum is empty the best way to start filling it is by inviting some friends of yours that you know are into the topic of your board. If you dont have friends online who are into it, join a few forums on the subject and make some. Forums are, before anything else, all about talking to people. So, might as well get used to it 😛

Bringing in a circle of friends to goof around on your forum is a lot of fun, besides. If you're into forums and whatever your own boards are about, you'll have a blast in these early days.

(quoted for truth)

I've seen a lot of 'average' forums get quite a bit of posts because the administrator was popular and/or had a lot of friends on another fora then s/he invited them to their fora and it already had a nice base community. Which soon came off to others.

I own and operate a paid forum services website, www.forum-aid.com. Paid posts can immensely help your forum. I realize I am biased, but I have privately posted on forums for cash for about a year now. Some of the forums I have posted on have grown to be massive since then. Paid posting can be a good option if you have a little extra cash, so can advertising to get active members.

While paid posts would be nice as sometimes they can be of good quality depending on who the poster is, I'd rather go for post exchanges instead if absolutely necessary. In Chatting Time's early days, we actually had quite a bit of fun creating new topics and stuff like that, and it wasn't long before we had people coming on and posting. I wouldn't want to rely on paid services too much if I were you. Yes, as I said, they can be a nice incentive, but in the end, if you rely on paid services, then members could think you're too lazy to come up with ideas for topics on your own. Sometimes ideas for something to discuss come to me naturally, sometimes they don't, but it's always fun when they do. I especially enjoy question/answer type topics as that usually gets everyone thinking, especially if it's about personal preferences about something, or if it's a recent incident that happened on another forum, that type of thing. So really, paid posting isn't something you want to rely on too much, nor are packages to an extent. If you take advantage of paid services and packages the whole time your forum is up, members could eventually think that you're too lazy to post at all and may be turned off by this. Administrators have to be active to a degree on their forum as well. The only way I can understand you not being active is if you're doing more behind the scenes work than anything, and that's fine. But I know I for one always feel better when I see an administrator taking part in discussions and at least trying to come up with new topics. That shows me that he/she is at least willing to start new topics and engage in discussions. On my forum, I enjoy participating in discussions and starting new topics, and I usually save requesting services as a sort of last resort, when I've totally run out of ideas or whatever have you.
