If you're only going to do posts, you must post at least 5, you cannot just post one or two times to receive the 10FP$ each. So the bare minimum is 5 posts for 50FP$.

Feel free to make an introduction but the rest of your posts (counting for FP$) should be made in the other categories. I'd prefer excluding the general discussion board but if you absolutely have to make a topic there, you're welcome to.

What type of exchange are you looking for? An active exchange, or a specific amount of posts?
