Buying Skins/Themes

Do you believe in buying skins/themes ? Does it even worth paying for? How much do you usually pay for it?

I looked around out of curiousity ( believe me I do things more than people do when I'm bored ) and saw this http://exaltic.com/forum/index.php?styleid=36

a very simple and basic skin for 29.99 USD wow :roll:

I don’t like the idea of buying skins unless it is customize skin for only your forum.

I don't believe in buying styles like you posted above. I do believe in buying custom styles which are made just for you. The problem with styles you like posted is that you buy it but it already is used by loads of other forums. All you are paying for is that fact that less forums use that style.

I agree.. and to request custom theme/skin usually costs a lot more.

I'll be honest, that particular theme in the link hurts my eyes. I wouldn't pay a penny for it.

I seriously doubt you will find a theme on these sites which tickle your fancy.

Not only did the topic starter post a theme thats for Vbulliten,but it costs money.

The first link you posted are all free themes. The second link only has a few paid for themes that look quite nice.

If you cannot make a theme, you may look into buying one. Chances are paid themes (on some sites) are very impressive and blow free skins out of the water.

I would pay for that theme in a heartbeat..

As for zetaboards lol... do not get me started on them lol..

Some people can't make templates, good ones anyway, so getting a custom template from someone else is sometimes the only option to make the forum look good.

I don't think buying templates that other people can buy is a good idea.
