During my schooling years, the wristwatch was a status symbol not only among us students but also for adults. I remember my father wouldn't go out of the house without his watch. And I was so elated when I was gifted with my first wristwatch bought in Australia. But now it seems that wristwatches are losing their appeal because the purpose is waning. Maybe 99.9% of the people have a cellphone which displays the time and date. It looks like that function of the cellphone has made the wristwatch obsolete.
I dont think so, alot of people are very much into watches as its apart of style and in all the celebrities, you still see them wearing watches, even when i watch vlogs or other vids i see people with watches
Wristwatches during school days were more of a fashion. Though cellphones have taken most of them today but I still use analog and digital watches along with a smart watch for my wrist. I have a wonderful collection of wrist watches.
