Bobby Kotick makes IW and Treyarch pump out a Call of Duty game for the money not because they competition. Bobby Kotick once said Games are not meant to be fun but for him make money.

Furthermore Calls of Duty game do have competition, Battlefield and Medal of Honor. Both series are good and it is more balanced than Call of Duty games.
