From the past few days i am thinking to make a new forum but i can't decide what kind of forum should i start. First i decided that i should make GFX forum then i thought they take very much hard work and skill designers, then i thought i should make a promotion forum but every second person here thinks to start a promotion forum and they don't run if they don't have uniqueness. Then i finally decided to make a android forum, a place for all android fans but i before i start i wanna ask everyone that any of you are interested in android forum? Would you join my android forum? And what kind categories and forums would you like to see in it? Please help me.

I don't want to try and offend you in anyway, and if I do I apologise but seeing as I only saw you post job openings for your 'GFX Idea' only the other day I wonder wether your ready to start a forum yet?
It seems like your only wanting to start one for the sake of it and now that you're on idea number three it shows that your just coming up with whatever idea you can think of. I think you should take your time and wait till an idea comes to you and start a website/forum about what interests you personally and if there is already a site for what your after.
There are so many promotion forums around that the competition isn't even worth it. Most aren't doing that well either. GFX forums spring up once or twice in a couple of months and it's quite a narrow subject that anyway when you actually start to think about it.
I think the android forum might be quite a nice thing to have and I'm all for the competition but it seems that others have started thinking about 'phone' forums since I wanted to start an iOS device forum. Something I took time to think about and I also have some really unique ideas for it as well.
My advise: Take your time and think about something that not only you but others could benefit from.

TeraDirectory I agree with Dan, that you should take your time. When starting a forum, start one on a topic that interests you and that you are passionate about. Being genuinely interested in the topic of your forum will greatly increase your chances of success as you will enjoy discussing the topic and more likely to stick with the community through any difficult / slow times you encounter.

Research the topics and discussions that concern the topic. Make sure you know enough about the topic to be able to sustain the forum and users' interest.
Doesnt really seem like a forum idea that would take off to me.
I have an android phone and I know how to use it. If I need help, I go into the my cell phone company's local store and they help me with whatever I need.

Well I mean you should maybe start a forum of your interests? Like Fergal has a forum of business because first of all, he likes business related stuff and second of all, he knows a lot about it. For example I run an all topic general discussion forum.
