If a person pays you for something you did, the correct amount of course. Can he re-take that amount from my account latter on ? And how can you get scammed with paypal ?

If he uses his credit card he can do a chargeback which is done through the bank and they get the money back. But there is not really any other way in which your money can be taken if the person sends it out of their paypal balance.

Pretty sure the person can file a complaint to get hes money back. He would have to say something like "Oh i paid him but he didn't do or give me anything"

Thats why some people use paypal for that reason.

But what if the person got what he wanted but still files a complaint to get his money back ? Can't I proof he is trying to scam to paypal so they don't give him his money back ?

Alrigth, then I can ask to pay just with paybal and not with credit card right ?
Not really; even if they use a normal account, linked to a bank account, they can make an official complaint and get a chargeback on their payment. It's a risk you take as a user of PayPal.

Well, you'd be a tad paranoid if you have that feeling constantly. Anyway, I doubt they could provide enough evidence to support their claim, but in the case that they win, you should be able to with ease get your money back.

Well its not like that, I am asking support as me getting paid for my services. But they can use my service, pay some days latter get there money back for no reason. If that is possible its quite risky to do this not ?

It's your word against their's. There isn't much you can do that would be sufficient proof of any wrongdoing. Besides, if it's a matter of a few bucks, PayPal won't waste their time. If it's a matter of hundreds of dollars or more, they might listen, assuming you have proof.

And exactly how would they prove that? I don't think there is much of a case here, if one gets open. It would be hard to prove such a thing, though maybe a digital contract if you feel it requires that level of security, which I don't believe it is. Again, I think you're being a tad paranoid. Why do you think the other person involved will do a chargeback? Do they have a history of bad transfers? If this is a DigitalPoint member, you could view their past history of transactions and go by that, if necessary/possible.

I also think it depends on how payment was sent. Was it sent as a gift? for services? money owed etc..? If its sent as a gift i dont think anything will happen as its been sent as "gift" jester of good will and blah blah...

Also if your so worried about it why did you do it in the first place? Also if its for less then like $10 i wouldn't worry about it.

Or has he paid you and your scamming him? hes paid you and you aint delivered thats why your worried?

Just saying.

@ about lee nothing has happened yet, and I never scam. I am just information my self once its going to "happen".

I have been using paypal for years now and never had any real problems with it. I did have one dispute over a modification, but it got resolved within a day. Other than that I never think twice about using Paypal when making a purchase. They are very good.

Users with or without a bank account linked can file a chargeback. Just make sure users send the payment in gift and has a comment such as "Payment sent for virtual goods, in which I've received".
