if possible.. i will create a new phpbb3 forum.. can anyone help me transfer the members,posts, topics and anything that can be transfered.. over to phpbb3 forum?

You cannot do this with Forumotion. 🙂 I read about that with forumotion as I was going to use them.

Try going here and requesting a converter. The folks there are pretty nice and will probably develop one (though likely to phpbb2, where you'd need to convert again to phpbb3).

Read the instructions manual.

Follow the instructions in the .zip file. If you have any problems, ask them in the topic because they know the programs better than I do. 🙂

Oh, and nice, it converts straight to phpBB3. 🙂

Have you downloaded Python? (Should be a link there somewhere). The converters use Python.

Yes, that should be fine. I know Python 3 will not work.

He has the mentality that free forum providers can't have their posts converted because you can't access the database.

Though he hasn't heard of the robot crawler converter, like the one I linked.

Okay... that's tricky because you have the SEO thing going... :S I 'think' it is the number after the htm# part in the URL address.

Though I can't guarantee that I'm right about that.

To convert the topics? No. However, you will need one and a CPanel to upload your converted topics, but that's for later.

Right I have never used the converter but if your looking to transfer Chatty Den then you can't, you'll need to build it up again and create a phpBB board again but restarting with topics, post's and members. It's the annoying thing about free host's. And if your looking to transfer a phpBB3 forum to a phpBB3, no point as phpBB4 will soon be getting released.
