Do you believe Bing will one day be able to surpass Google? Bing seems pretty promising in my eyes honestly, though Google is a monster search engine and would be very very hard to beat. What are your thoughts?

I do see Bing having potential with this popularity. But, I also see Google being a monster search engine. Google is quite a huge company. Look at the price of their stock. There are also a TON of other services that Google has, operating system, mobile operating system, navigation software, etc.. and the most popular search engine out there! It would be quite hard though to pass Google with them being such a powerful company.

No. They have a terrible reputation and nothing innovative to even challenge Google. It took me 6 rounds of Bing It On to choose Bing for ONE search result.

Just to put it simply. Bing is owned by Microsoft and Microsoft is ran by idiots. So will it surpass Google? Maybe in a few 1,000 years or so. If Microsoft does not kill itself by that time. 😛

I never even used Bing, haha~ I guess what matters most is how accurate search engines can give results, and I haven't seen one which won over Google. So unless they find a way for quick indexing and accurate results, no, they won't win over Google.

Do you really think that they would have achieved the level of success they have, if they were "idiots"?

Personally I can't see Bing overtaking Google. IMO Google is much more user-friendly and has much better search results than Bing. Search is Google's core product and they have the best engineers on the planet working on it.

Google already has established their dominance in the search engine world. I mean they really have an online empire when you look back at it. Bing is great but it will take great patience, a lot of advertisement, & user appeal to surpass Google. By patience I mean a lot of time.

I guess not, may be in the future but honestly not now. Google is a total different engine as compared to Bing and so to how it works. Those guys at Google keep improving things day by day unlike Microsoft which takes time without doing such. A simple look can be the issue of search indexing. Google does it faster and auto unlike Bing which needs a manual submission -LOL :info:

Enron was very successful despite being run by idiots.
There are two statements in that sentence and honestly I'm not sure that either of them are true. Enron went bankrupt and I don't think you get to run a huge corporation if you are an idiot. But, I could be wrong.

To me, Bing would have significantly more development to do before it even catches up to Google. I find it unlikely that this will ever happen soon.

I don't think Microsoft should continue expanding their market. Everything is blowing up in their face. Bing, Windows phones, and a lot of people are pissed about Windows 8. If almost every game and program I wanted ran on Linux, I wouldn't buy another Microsoft product again.

It would take a lot of time, but it isn't impossible to do. But the thing is, unless Google makes a mistake, people won't bother using Bing.

Windows is improving its products a lot these days. I'm not sure about Bing and Windows 8 as i don't use them. But i use a Windows mobile which i think is better as a phone than all other android ones in similar price tag. The UI and functionality is much better than Android and i never experienced any lag with it.

Unless Google gets shut down, I do not see any search engine beating Google.

Google is simply unstoppable at the moment.

Google's success is not only in their technology, but innovation. they know how to innovate their search engine in a very intuitive way, where as Bing I am seeing the opposite, they just follow what Google does and that is it.

I see no reason to use Bing because Google provides all of the search results I need. Furthermore, Google will keep innovating.

For example, Google is producing cars that drive themselves. Will these cars use Bing or Microsoft to manage themselves? Nope, they'll use Google software, Google maps and probably include a remote Google search function as well.
Google glasses will one day be as popular as the smart phone - They'll again be using Google products, not Bing.

Oh and by the way. If you buy Google stocks today, you'll spend a lot of money, but still earn a lot in the coming years. Seriously, it's pretty much a "safe" investment compared to other companies.\

Google has not only search engine but it has lots of other programs which are offered in free and they are very helpful to the society, these are also main source of popularity of Google as well.

Nobody says "Bing it"
They say "Google it".

In my opinion, a new search engine would have to have advanced tech to beat Google. Google works, so why use Bing?
A new search engine, or Bing, would have to have amazing search suggestions based on my past browsing and searches. But Google has a lot of data, so its already ahead.
PLUS, Google employees have mentioned micro chips in your head. These chips would be capable of predicting what I need like I just described above. So for me personally, I'll probably stick with Google.
