Can Blogger Blogs Be Edited The Same As Hosted Blogs?

I have a Google Blogger blog...

Can i edit the theme and other parts of the web page like i would on a website / blog i host myself?
Im asking because i like the theme i have got on it, but there are quite a few miner errors / changes that i would like to put right and do to it?

I don't know really how Google Blogger works, but it's always better to have your own hosting so you can change the blog completely.

They have an HTML editor and a theme editor. It will be a bit different then a normal blog, but it should be easy to do.
You can find it by going to the blogger dashboard. Find your blog. There will be a thing that looks like a page button and an arrow next to it. Click the arrow and click templates. Then choose edit template or HTML.
