Can you make groups and group forums on phpbb?

Hi,

I was wondering if you can make groups where members can post topics or even on a wall for the group? I've seen this on vBulletin and I thought it was a really good feature.

Like special forums just for a certain group? Could you show an example of it, just to see what your talking about.

I am sure there could be something like that, but I don' know unless I see what your talking about. That's me personally, but I am sure if someone else comes in here, they would know exactly what your talking about.

There aren't social groups like vB (unless there's a mod)
You would need to make the group, manually add people.

Create their forum and set permissions so only they see it.

Yeah I was not sure if he was talking about something that simple as just making the group and adding he members and setting them to a specific forum.. or something else.

When VB was brought up, I wasn't sure what was being discussed.

Which software? I've done something like this for phpbb.

Hey,

I mean you join a group, and then you get taken to the group page for instance, and it'l show all the members and when you click on the group link it will have it's own little shoutbox or mini forum 🙂

Thanks, I think this'l have to be a mod, but i'm not sure if there's a mod out there that does it. And it's for phpbb3 🙂

I'm pretty sure I've seen what your after and does what you want but the only thing I could find at the moment though was the follow development stage MOD that does similar things.
