Can't Post Threads

For some reason i can't post threads in my News & Announcements section

Previously i had the settings so that only i could post in that section. Then i merged that section with another like it but the one i merged anyone could post in. Since then i haven't been able to create threads. I've tried changing so many settings, does anyone know what might be the problem?

Check the permissions of all the groups you are in. Ensure the Admin group has the permissions to start topics in that forum and that other groups you are part of has the permission to start topics set to no and not "Never".

I tried every admin permission link i could find, nothing worked. I've copied permissions from another section and that seemed to do the trick, just got to try and restore the permissions and i'll be set.

Usually, this happens to me when I am in more than one user group where if you are the permissions are not accurate. Just like what Fowler explained.

It's not just the admin group you need to look at. For example check that the "registered users" group's permissions for anything isn't set to "never" instead just change it to "no", never in one group overwrites a yes in another, for example if your an admin you will also be in the registered users group (if you keep it that way by default) then a never in there will also overwrite a yes in the admin permissions.

Yeah i found out that was the problem. I just removed myself from all other groups but administrator
