It actually is a $1.00 payout for Paypal and $5.00 for Amazon Gift Card. I doubt it's that much captchas for $5. It's actually 5700 captchas or less for $5.00. Every 14 or 15 captchas you earn a penny. Therefore:

15 x 500 = 5700 captchas
