Up until a few months ago, I haven't ever been that interested in music. Instead, I spent most of my time listening to audiobooks, podcasts, and nothing. 😛 But recently I'm gotten into music, and rock music in particular.
At the moment, I spend most of my time listening to an iTunes playlist, which includes full albums from artists I like. So far, I've primarily discovered music from hearing a song on the radio, and looking up other songs by the same artist, although I also find a lot of music from recommendations, and occasionally stuff posted on the Currently Listening To thread.
Here's my current Rock playlist. Favorites are at the top. Currently 495 songs on the playlist.
Also added the following within the last few days. Not 100% certain whether they'll stay on the list: Doobie Brothers, Rolling Stones, Beetles, My Chemical Romance. 1 album from each.
Finally, I also have a Jazz list I'm working on, which is mostly Sinatra at the moment. Will probably make a pop playlist sometime too, although I listen to Rock much more often than either Pop or Jazz, so I put most of my focus on the rock playlist.
Any recommendations of good stuff that needs to be added? 😀 Mostly interested in Rock. You can probably tell which types I like most from the list. 😛

- Green Day - Pretty much everything (7 albums): 21st Century Breakdown, American Idiot, Warning, Nimrod, Greatest Hits, Insomniac, and Dookie. My favorite band.
- Train - Pretty much everything (5 albums). Bulletproof Picasso, California 37, Save Me San Fransisco, My Private Nation, Drops of Jupiter. Really good band!
- Fall Out Boy - 2 albums (Under the Cork Tree and Infinity on High). One of my favorite bands, but these two albums are the only ones of their I really liked. The others seem to be too close to Pop for my tastes.
- Billy Joel - Only one album, but it's a huge compilation one. One of my favorite artists!
- Led Zeppelin - 1 album (Mothership). Such an awesome band! Probably my favorite classic rock.
- Styx - Their greatest hits album. Awesome band.
- Kansas - Their greatest hits album.
- Muse - 2 albums. Black Holes & Revelations and The Resistance. Awesome stuff!
- Queen - Greatest Hits.
- Aerosmith - 1 album (Big Ones).
- Incubus - 2 albums. Make Yourself and Morning View.
- Lynyrd Skynyrd - Their greatest hits album. Can feel a bit too "country" in some of their songs, but I like the variety.
- Nickelback - 1 album (Photograph).
- The Eagles - 1 album (Greatest Hits).
- System of a Down - 1 album (Toxicity). Love the metal and the bold lyrics.
- Misc. - A few soundtrack items to add variety, American Pie (Don McLean),
