I'm going with dogs on this one. Smart, loyal and they can be trained and do more for you then a cat could ever do for you :]

Only exceptions would be if I could have Grumpy cat or Bubs. Two very cool cats ;]

Definitely DOGS. Even though their mess is somewhat harder to clean, I bet they're a couple times sweeter than cats. Just saying...

Dogs.

I've had both, after my 10kg tabby cat died, I stumbled on a Maltese Chitsu X terrier when he was 4. He turned out to be my eternal mate, I developed cancer, and he wouldn't stop sniffing the area it was in, long before I knew I had it, or the doctor's diagnosed it. When the cancer was removed, he left the area are alone. I had him for 10 years.

I loved that little guy (Sammy) like nothing or anyone I have ever loved in my entire life. I lost him 10 months ago, and I still grieve as if it were only yesterday.

Not necessarily. I started volunteering at an animal shelter a few months back, and had intended to spend time with the dogs only. However, that did not go as planned, and I've become a cat room guy. I must say...I'm converting to a cat person. I love dogs to death, but cats honestly aren't as bad as people may think. Some cats are truly independent and want nothing to do with you, while others can be just as cuddly as dogs. The problem that most people have with cats is that cats are more laid back. They aren't always up for going on walks, or playing fetch or with toys. This is what most people want, a pet they can play with, who will also entertain then.

As you can tell from my avatar, im a dog person, love dogs, im not too fond of cats I think they can be quite vicious.

I've had both kinds of animals before. To be quite honest, most dogs have given me more affection and loyalty than any other cat.

I voted Dogs as I have two myself and my cousin has three. Cats really tend to stare and eyeball me, it freaks me out haha! 😛

Dogs all the way. Not sure what made me feel so strong over dogs, not that I ever had either as pets before. But perhaps because I tend to see stray cats that are so dirty around compared to dogs so it created not-so-good image on my head about cats. So strong that I still prefer dogs even though one ran after me for unknown reason when I was little. XD

I like both, but I've never looked after a dog before so my vote went to kitties. Unlike most people, I like big dogs, not the little cute pampered ones 🙂
