Celebrating Holidays on forums

Well we are entering the holiday season..

Are you planning on doing anything on your forums for halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc etc etc ?

Do you think these are a good idea or bad idea?

We have a Halloween section and theme for the beach house.
I think it can be a fun and entertaining idea....

It's a good idea to some extent, if you go over board about it, it just gets to much.

I like it though, adds a nice fluffy feeling, although I don't think ill add the Halloween festive spirit to PS 😛

Yer i don't think going overboard is appealing. But giving the members a choice of skins for Halloween is a great idea. That way they can choose to participate or not.

I might do something for Christmas, especially if we don't do much in the real world as a family, but I might think about that one.

I plan on setting the Christmas skin back on the forum, and then setting it to default from Black Friday until New Years Eve. Then, on New Years Day, I'll set the default to the winter skin.

I probably won't for Halloween, but will most likely make a new style for over the Christmas/New Year period.

I'll probably do something for Thanksgiving. The only problem is my forum is for the entire world, so I will have to do things to celebrate everyone's holidays. Time to get a little more research down 😀

Maybe I'll ask for a pumpkin banner for Halloween. No themes, that's a bit overboard.

I'm not doing much for my site for Halloween except a few popup ghosts here and there. :lol:

When I ran my forums, we didn't go overboard. I mean, we had a banner and maybe a contest, but that's all.

Halloween isn't a holiday. None of my forums have lasted long enough to enter a holiday, but I suppose I would do something with the banner.

I may pull up some wintery theme for December, but nothing really to celebrate the holidays in terms of theme at least. There's nothing really in that domain that would suit my site's theme in general.
