Celebrities and the Famous on social media

Have you ever tried reaching out to famous people through social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram? I've reached out to some in the past and was pleasantly surprised to actually receive a response from them. I am skeptical of some because they might have a third party running their social media account but some responses seem rather genuine.

I would like to talk to some YouTubers because I think a chat would be interesting but I know they'd never even reply, let alone have an actual conmversation so I've never bothered.

I've never tried because I don't know if it's the actual person managing their own accounts or is it someone that works for that famous person that is managing it for them. So, I've never tried.......
