I would like some ideas on some small challenges for Nintendo Forums (link in sig). Something like a making a star (from Mario) only using Paint. Nothing too big or requires lots of work. Not only limited to paint, but gaming in general! any ideas are welcome!

I thought of Mario Paint right away, so a couple ideas from there:
Line Art colouring (you can probably find some on Google or deviantART)
Creating a scene with sprites
And for others:
Pokemon Splicing (taking two or more Pokemon sprites and merging)
Mini graphic contests
This isn't really a challenge, but maybe roleplays? You could have small/"challenge" ones that revolve around a specific plot with a goal or something.
Other spriting (like with Pokemon where they have to make their own town, or region, etc).
That's all I got for now

If you trying to get non graphically minded members involved. you can do things such as guessing the character from blacked out characters, scavenger hunts for sprites across the board like in Super Mario Sunshine.
Also get a high score on a certain online game? simply gt them to screenshot there high score, so on so forth.
Graphically there is a lot more options, you could do create a Game Cover and as Kik said, splicing and things like that.

a member (from Nintendo Forums) has a code to download a game which would make a good prize...but need ideas for a challenge of some sort. Maybe not a mini challenge though! I think it's a prize worthy of a proper challenge. =D
