Hello, Forum Promotion community!

Today I present you some interesting changes to Community Reviews! After conducting forum-wide survey and a specific survey on opinions about review system, Editorial Team has decided to try out these new approaches.
  1. The price to feedback topic with no review has been reduced! Instead of the usual 100 FP$ price, it is now only 50 FP$! You can now create a feedback topic at Community Reviews for only 50 FP$!
  2. We have made a change in advanced review definition. In this new advanced review, the reviewer who tagged your review will spend at least 2 days as a regular member/visitor of the website to get a better feel of the community or website! Due to this new detail, advanced reviews will take 96 hours to complete and cost you 500 FP$.

Check the new review guidelines for more details and requirements. Do take a look around Community Reviews to see all our offers!

That is all, at least for now! We hope that members of the community can enjoy and benefit more from Community Reviews by these changes. We are always open for ideas and suggestions so if you have any don't hesitate to let us know.

I also want to bring the blog and article submission to your attention. We have interesting rewards to offer by participating in Forum Promotion's blog, so give it a try! Writing can be a tedious task but it is a fun thing to do. Why not enjoy some of the rewards as you write an article?

Lastly, thank you very much for the attention, suggestions, and even complains addressed to Editorial Team. We are not perfect so we are doing our best to improve ourselves to be even better. If there is anything you want to say, feel free to send me a message.

We hope you enjoy these changes. Have a good day!

Not really sure I find this to be a good idea. While reviewing was never supposed to be lightning fast as packages were, the job still got done in a decent amount of time (time allocated). I feel like making it so reviewers have to be active on a forum for a few days will turn them off from accepting those reviews. Furthermore, RT was always the team people chose if they wanted to work and stay on FP only and not register at all these different forums (packagers).

Who knows, maybe this will be the best change ever. Just my thoughts.

Thank you for your input! I can understand the risk behind this move. At least I have talked to reviewers at the team currently and we agreed to try this new approach. While it will definitely make us busier than before, the 'active' requirement is definitely less stronger than what a packager has. We give freedom to reviewers to decide on how 'active' they need to be to get the general feel of the community or at least check hidden features which are only available to registered users. Reviews will still be the main focus of everything.

I hope to see good results with this new approach. You never know unless you try, as the saying goes!

Have you considered requiring forums who request that specific service to provide a demo account? It'd make things easier on the reviewer.

That is a possible solution to help the reviewers. Thank you for the suggestion, we will consider it! 🙂

First one of the Forum Promotion 3.1 sneek peaks resembled Admin Ads's theme and now this so called "idea" resembles: http://adminads.com/Thread-The-Mystery- ... 43#pid6743

What is going on, didn't expect this from Forum Promotion!

I don't think any idea was copied 007, as you might recall we have a review called the meticulous review what has been out for several months, where the reviewer registers and posts on the forum for a couple of weeks to gain an insight into the forum, this was working really well and there were a few suggestions from members saying that the reviewers should always register when doing a review. So Phio/migi decided to implement this, as people asked for it.

Why are you so eager to say FP is copying you? If I'm reading that right, the service you created is different from the one ET is offering. The one you're offering is to check and see how staff act around members and if they do their job properly. This is to let the reviewer get a feel for the forum they are reviewing.

Hello 007,

As Lorcan has mentioned we already have a review called the meticulous review which has a similar aspect where we would register on the reviewed forum and make posts. This was released a few months ago and we just added this aspect to our other reviews. The reason why Migi added this to our reviews is because members of FP suggested that they want to see this in Review Feedback thread. The only similarities between our review and the mystery shopper idea is that both review staff members and register on the reviewed forum. However we have done both earlier so therefore we couldn't have copied this idea.

Regarding the theme, we do use a similar tone of blue to Admin Ads but other than that, there is nothing similar to it. We will be releasing more snippets of our theme and you will be able to see many key difference.

Thanks.

Re: Changes to Community Reviews: Reduced Price and New Revi

Great to see these changes take effect. I especially like the second part, I think it will provide a more in-depth look into a forum, and less of a "topical" view. Good work on implementing these changes, everyone. 🙂

Some posts above have responded to this in detail, so I will not add much. I will only reiterate that your concern is not true. This new advanced review system emphasize on checking how community works and special features available to registered users only. The scope is different to what you linked there.

Thank you to everyone for the input so far! 🙂
