Sadness is a common emotion, experienced by many. Yet many people do not have a good outlet in real life to express those emotions. Just think how it affects your family or friends when you try to tell them all the sad things you are feeling. These emotions are not easily shared with those we love as we don't wish to burden them or make them feel sad too.
But, what about a forum where a member could openly and anonymously express their sad emotions without fear of retribution or judgement? Do you think this is a good thing? Would you visit such a forum?
I definitely would and have searched for a forum like it before, with no luck however.
I don't really have anybody in my life that I can just talk to and tell all of my problems without judgement or anything which is really depressing... which is why I think a forum like this would be awesome, but then again, it would be hard to moderate and make sure there aren't any other judgmental users that reply negatively to people's posts.
I'm friends with my members, so we're comfortable with giving each other support. We've looked past the limitations of forum rank, and realized that everyone is human. Being an administrator or moderator simply means that you were appointed a job to help keep the place looking neat and functional.
They must be there. You also have forums of true confessions. That many times goes hand in hand. People confess to the most incredible things, and feel that confession-release. I guess as far as getting things off your chest, it's a similar principle.
