People should be charitable. However, if we are being scammed, then God will deal with it. Well, if you're not of that thinking, maybe something else. However, the idea is we should have the right attitude.

People should be charitable.

It's good to be giving. There's been times when I've needed help and I've had friends and family there to help me out. Life's hard when you have to go it alone.

I agree that we should be charitable and I myself am very charitable and I will give when I can. One thing I do have an issue with though is when you get people in the streets or in the shopping centers who grab you and pretty much guilt you into giving to charity not knowing your situation. I think things like that have to stop and people should be able to give when they can to charities of their choice rather than being made to feel guilty.

We can be charitable however the money they we might end up giving does not always go to the right people or does not get spent right.

I agree, I've given my time to charitable causes but I won't give money.

Some years ago I became the (unpaid) chairperson of a failing children's charity where the board of governors including the accountant had been siphoning donations as 'wages' to such an extent the employed staff hadn't been paid for over three months.

It's a sad fact that the majority of money given to charities in most countries gets lost in administration.

I am not under obligation to give or help anyone. I just do it at my own discretion. No one can pressure to give to anyone. Not even to family members.

I try to be sure that I do my charity only to people that I know need it. In face go to mainstream orphanage homes and do it.
