Charity Lottery Website

I've just started developing a website that will be a lottery. Every week there will be a lotto held. Of it 80% of the funds will go to the winners choice (of a pre-selected set of charities). The other 20% will go into maintaining the website, and promoting it to help grow it further. Extra Life, Red Cross, and others will be some of the charities chosen. I'm still in the process of looking into all of the charities. I'd like to ensure that they are not 'sketchy' in any way shape or form before supporting them. And to ensure that all money that goes to them goes to the right places.

I'd like to see how y'all would like this idea. Do you think this will work? I'm already half way done with the development today alone, and I'm hoping to have it up and running by the end of the week.

Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked into what the laws are where you live concerning this? That would be my biggest concern.

I'll be registering as a non-profit for the website once it gets closer to being up. I'm assuming if it goes against any laws they'd let me know during that procedure.

I'd defiantly be for all this, you just need to check regulatory laws to get green lit to avoid any legal costs. Just with these type of things pyramid schemes can happen so tred lightly and know your laws.

Other than that, it's a great idea. I hope the causes benefits from it!
