When it comes to decluttering / giving away items

Do you donate to charity? Or to a friend or combination of both

I will be very interested in what you do with your stuff

Also if you work or have worked at charity shops then comment on that too

We have garage sales & also donate to charities. We have given stuff away to friends or co-workers who we know could use the items.

I donate to a charity unless my sister wants it. We're about the same size for clothes and she's always looking for more work clothes so if I don't want anything anymore I save it for her first. Then everything else gets bagged up and put into one of the bins around the town for donations.

Just a couple of weeks ago I had two boxes of stuff that I donated at the local store, stuff that I think it's pointless selling and rather than wasting it in the bin, donate the items. a slow cooker was one of those items
