Chat Addicts has hit the 7000 post milestone!

Chat Addicts reopened on the 21st of August 2025 in memory of my dad who we lost after a long battle with MND in July 2025.

I am pleased to announce that we have now reached 7000 posts on Chat Addicts!

My dad was always someone who loved to make others smile, and the Spike Milligan Poem was one of his favourites.

Being able to bring back Chat Addicts in his memory and knowing I can provide a space for those who love to meet others and chat about what they love makes me happy, and I know my dad is happy too!

Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realized
I’d passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth.
A single smile, just like mine
could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
don’t leave it undetected.
Let’s start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!
