Okay, we have done a bit of downsizing to make the forums easier for us to moderate. However, this does not mean we are not open to suggestions, because we are. For example, we have done away with all the forums that have been inactive, and have moved some posts to the Let's Just Talk section. You'll have to come down and see the changes for yourselves. Also, I don't know why our post count went down all of a sudden, unless I deleted some posts on accident when I was merging and moving... Sorry about that if I did. Edit: our posts are back to normal now. I replied to a couple topics and created a fresh one of one topic, so everything's as it should be now. Sorry about all the confusion.

A little bird has just told me that Chatting Time will be going through some major updates! 🙂 I don't want to say what yet, as it'll be a surprise. But from what I'm being led to understand, the site will at one point be down for an hour as changes are being made. I don't want to reveal them yet, though... plans are still being made.
We have been hacked for a second time. Thankfully my co-administrator makes daily backups, so we should be back by the end of the weekend. I don't know if I want to commence with this any longer though, as we have been hacked twice already. Not sure if I can bare a round 3. Will keep you guys posted.
Hey everyone, Chatting Time will be back soon! I'm not sure what's all going on over there, am currently waiting on Tayne to send me an email, but I think he may be taking advantage of this second hacking/cracking to work on that "secret project" he was telling me about. Hopefully I'll have more updates soon. I hope you guys are looking forward to posting again as much as I am.
Also, once we are back up, I strongly advise all members to take necessary precautions to keep your accounts from being hacked/cracked. I do not feel like going through this incident a third time. I will post an announcement about these, but some measures I recommend:
1. Hide your email from all members
2. Never, ever, ever give out personal information, in fact, this rule will be enforced greatly in our interview threads from now on.
3. If you have any questions, or you think your account might have been hacked/cracked, please email myself or Tayne and one of us will look into the issue and figure out what happened. Preferably Tayne as he can find information quicker than me... 😳
4. come up with a really good, really strong password that no body can guess, and it would probably be adviseable not to use your real name as your username if you are currently doing so. A special, "request a username" thread will be set up, but if you wish to remain unanimus, you may PM myself or Tayne and we will happily change your username for you.
Okay, I just recieved the following email from Tayne:
My Server manager is still "busy" doing other stuff, and he hasn't had
time to send me a backup of chatting time. I managed with my coding to
create a new founder account to see what the forum was like, and sorry to
say everything was deleted. All posts and everything. Hopefully I'll get
this backup soon then I've got a long list of security things. Like 2
logins to the ACP, hidden cPanel, and secure forums. Just to keep Chatting
Time safe. Sorry about all this and we'll be back up very soon hopefully.
So we are still having a few problems, and hopefully we'll get these fixed shortly. Hopefully these new and improved security measures that Tayne is adding will help keep CT more safe. Also, once we are back up, I would advise all users alike to follow the advice I gave you on the above post, which should help make everyone's stay at Chatting Time safe and enjoyable in the months to come.
An explaination about the hacking/cracking of Chatting Time:
I was talking with Tayne about this on MSN. He said he had a password that he used on another forum that he was using for the Cpanel (or something like that) and that was what helped the hacker get into the site. But aside from that, I just sent him a password I would like to use on the forum, and I can assure everyone that once we are back, Chatting Time will be more safer and secure than ever before! Hopefully we can come up with a few rules and things like that, most of these will be security measures. I'm just looking forward to getting back to posting again, as I'm sure everyone else is too!
Hopefully if all goes well, we could be back up by the weekend. You will soon come back to a more secure Chatting Time, and I advise all of you, once we're back, to come up with good, strong passwords to keep your accounts from getting hacked, I would also advise you not to give out your email addresses to anyone, hide your emails from members, and hopefully we'll endure a safer and more secure Chatting Time than before.
Okay, for some strange reason, it is taking too long to get this forum back up and running, and the server I was on is too suseptible to hacks, so I have signed up with an account on PlutoHosting, and hopefully we'll be starting all over again. Edit the first post and everything. Unless I can get my backup from Tayne or something and have them restore it. This is just taking too long, and I don't have that much patience. Thanks guys and sorry about all the trouble. If the problem can't be fixed, this topic will be closed and a new one made.
