Sometime within the next couple months, some awesome changes will be coming your way at Chatting Time! The biggest news is that within the next month or two, Chatting Time will be converting from phpBB to Xenforo! That's right! phpBB was just beginning to feel too outdated for us and the update times were getting ridiculous. So we've decided that we will be making the switch from phpBB to Xenforo! The estimated time of the move is anywhere between February and March, but it could be later as our tech admin is having some real life issues, but we will still be moving! We hope you are looking forward to the upcoming changes just as much as we are and we're hoping you'll come down and check us out as well! http://www.chattingtime.com

Will you be so kind as to share with us how it goes? Very interested in how things transfer like posts with youtube vids.

phpBBC is a tad behind, they really should start incorporating mods that nearly everyone is using as part of its platform.

Well, we haven't switched over yet. And my tech admin will be the one moving us over as he has more to do with the technical end of running a forum. I have nothing to do with the Cpanel end of things, and this is the first time I have ever converted (or even considered doing so for that matter) from one forum software to the next. So I'd love to help, but as I have no knowledge of this kind of thing, nor do I have anything to do with the technical aspect of running our forum, I can't help. I think my tech admin would be able to explain it better than I could even if I did know how it was done, anyway.

As the owner you are not in the loop far as how it's done? What if your tech expert got hit by a truck.... Not trying to be critical here but I make it a point to at least understand what is going on in all aspects of the sites I own.

I understand time management but you are taking on a bit of a risk not knowing at least the basics of the transfer process.

Still looking forward to hearing about it, so please have your tech person do a write up for all to learn from.
