The newspapers have been trying to decide if Cheryl Cole was miming on Sunday the 18th October's performance of Fight For This Love
Her performance managed to cover her face up quite well so it wasn't obvious.
Most people are saying she mimed, I agree personally.
My friend from school says, they edited the released version just slightly in a negative way to make it sound live.

Thoughts?

I personally dont think she was miming though i do like her so would say that. 😀

I don't think she was miming at all, there were certain parts of the song that were skipped so it made it easier for her to sing live, and it certainly sounded live, the only performance of the night that looked mimed was the very first one with all the finalists, i just thought it looked a bit odd.

Her performance was brilliant though, shes a great gal

I care more about staring at her then listening to her sing.

It was confirmed last week that she would mime, she pre-recorded it in the week for the show. You can't blame here because their was a lot of dancing plus the pressure of someone as big as Whitney Housten singing after you.

The contestants group performance was 100% mimed

Cheryl's performance was live (as in not pre recorded). It was 50% live - she sang the verses but mimed the chrous (because of the dancing) like Alex did last last week.

Whitney didn't mime - but she did sing over a backing track and half the time didn't seem to bother and let the track play on its own - like for the first 10 seconds

In the paper, it says she sang the first verse to put people into a false sense of thinking she'd sing the rest, and then the rest was mimed.

Then there was uproar about it all, so things had to be changed.

I'm not 100% sure it was all live, i do think part of it was mimed, although there was definitely a backing track.
