Should parents be allowed to choose the sex of their unborn baby?

Why or why not?

I don't believe they should be able to, unless it's for medical reasons and will help their child have a healthier life. For example, if a child who is intersex is born and their quality of life will be greatly affected if they have both sex organs, then it should ultimately be up to the parent to allow their child's sex to be altered. Also before anyone mentions gender affirming care, gender and sex are two separate things and this isn't the same.

Normal birth, not worrying about what sex they are but knowing if it's a girl or a boy and be happy 😉 then live and grow with your child to a nice looking working hard famous woman or guy. I would never have them turned into a trans

I don't think it should be allowed. That is when cultural beliefs would tilt the population of a place in one direction.

I agree, I think that's the main issue. Personally it's not a decision I'd even want to make. I can't imagine telling a child I'd had a say in the engineering of their gender.

In my place for instance, you would see the ratio of male children to female would be so high because of the premium our society places on male children.

If the parent was able to decide at inception, maybe, but not once that egg is fertilized. Then that kid needs to stay the same sex they are meant to be. I'll never agree that the parent has the right to choose after that kid is born.

No they shouldn't. I think it would really mess with a persons head to find out later in life that they could have been born a different sex but their parents changed it. I know it would mess me up.

Alright. Not to derail your thread, but at the moment this subject is controversial, just so you know.

I hold a similar sentiment. No, they shouldn't mess with the person's biology. AND yes, agreed on messing with one's brain. Agreed.

Its just controversial.

Ummm, hmmm. If they really prefer something, then okay. But it's all on their own preferance.

Then, FINE. But, you don't get it; its not about an ADULT having preference for being "x." Its about ADULTS "affirming" their child as a different sex, and then the next day, the ADULT changes the KID's BIOLOGY. So what you say? If you are a man, would you rather lose your biological peepee? THE ANSWER IS... NO. Right? That's THIS thread here.

This shouldn't be hard to understand or something that needs to be explained.

Geez.

They are not talking of transgenderism here. They are talking about the ability of modern science to determine if woman will give birth to a boy or a girl.
If you think I am okay with allowing children to do hormone therapy than you are very mistaken. I am absolutely 100% against this agenda and pushing of transgenderism all over the world.

As much as I understand how some people feel when they don't feel like they fit in the body that they were born with, I feel allowing parents to choose the gender of their child at birth could cause a lot of issues in the long run for many people. Who's to say that the child when they get older will feel comfortable being known as a boy if they were born a girl?

I feel that should be left up to the child when they get older.

You can't just pick a gender. Maybe in USA or UK such things are "normal" but you are either born with gender dysphoria or you are faking it to be cool because that's how world works nowdays. How you feel doesn't change reality.

If a person who has halucinations say he sees somebody who is not there, should we all nod and say "Yes, that's true, you are right, your reality should matter and define my way of thinking" ? Absolutely not.

Right, but this issue falls under the same "argument." There are people who want to choose a baby's sex after GOD has already chosen the BIOLOGY of the baby. It's the same. Damn. Argument.

Abortion, too. That is murder.

People are being played, bro. They want trans from birth. Think of it in that way.

If I could spam the like button so many times, I would. 100% agreed.

I agree with you. On all what you stated. I am against sex change, against choosing sex for a baby, against abortion. :angelparrot:

No, parents should not try to change the sex of their baby. I wanted a girl, but I didn't even get to see the ultrasound results, so when I gave birth, imagine how happy I was when I got my little girl.

Leave. The. Kids. Alone.

How difficult of a concept is this? If the child wants to transition, let them make that choice, when they are of legal age, 18.

God blessed you. 😎
