Chores

I honestly have no chores to do around my house. My mom some how enjoys cleaning and does nearly everything. I vacuum, dust and clean my room once a week. That's about all I do.

All of them, cleaning, laundry, cooking, bills etc because I rent a flat myself, dont live with my parents 🙂

My only "chore" is keeping my lousy step-dad off the property.

i have to vacum and just tidy up, Jackie needs to do her part 😛

Best learn how to do chores now, when you go to college/university or live on your own you won't know how to do anything.

Good sentence. It's the best anyone could read. 😉

I agree with you. I wish schools taught you things about real life, like paying bills, getting a phone line up and running, who you need to contact about what, what stuff not to put down your sink etc. Certainly when nowadays most parents work full time, not having the time to teach their kids these things.

I know all of that stuff because I have a brain but some people don't. They should also teach young people not to stick their fingers into power plugs. I almost did that when I was younger. 😳

I have a brain, I was doing a Law Degree before I moved out of my mums. But when I moved out I had a realisation that I had no idea how to do a lot of things and had to learn the hard way, which includes loosing £600 because I didnt know I was owed it which meant I didnt claim it back before the time limit ended. It took almost a year for my medical records to be transfered because I had no idea that I was meant to do some stuff with my medical card, the Docs just kept fobbing me off telling me I just needed to wait and it wasnt until someone mentioned a medical card to me that I realised what I needed to do.

Having a brain has nothing to do with it, if you literally dont know, you have to learn and learning it before it really counts (in school) and not in the real world where if you dont learn quick your going to be out on the streets would make it a lot easier all round IMO.

Schools must be different where you live then. We get taught all of that type of stuff.

Seriously? Where are from? The only thing remotely useful I was taught (in respect to everyday real life) was how to write a check.

No, I don't have chores. But, I do help clean the house just cause I don't want my parents having to do it all after they get home from work.
