Chrome eating up my resources

Lately that chrome (Version 64.0.3282.186) eats up my CPU. When it does my CPU fan starts to get loud. Around a week ago it wasn't like that at all, Chrome was running all good with no high CPU and I can search around with an quite pc.

I disabled my extensions and clear the system, I even uninstall chrome. But what ever I seem to be doing it still goes on with no result. My system has 8gb ram running on a SSD with an i5 5200 2.7Ghz

Just wired to the point of happening in the pass week.

Typically, Chrome does eat up your resources by default but it looks like your case was much different. At least you got it sorted out but I have to tell you, be more careful when you download any extensions next time.
