SO WHY CIRCUMCISE BABIES FOR NO REASON?!?!? You're completely missing the point I'm making and going into an irrelevant and obvious spouting of randomness.

If there's a risk of the baby dying for whatever reason, why do it just to avoid a few comments for a few years in high school?
Because it's not your decision, it's the parent's call. I wouldn't want my kid to be made fun of in High School for that. And as hobbies just said, there's a chance of you getting into a car accident on the way home, so should we just leave the baby in the hospital forever? What if the light falls on the crib? What if the crib somehow falls over?

And by the way, your friend is a paramedic, good, but again, he's not an anesthesiologist. A paramedic requires like 1,000 hours of classroom and field instruction. That's no where even near what a MD/DO needs. Like I said, medical professionals who specialize in anesthesiology have been doing this procedure for a very long time, and it seems to work just fine when done under a professional's direction. The baby doesn't feel any pain, and it's taken care of without any real serious issues.
It is the parents call, but once again it will effect the person for the rest of their lives which is unfair.
I don't think a guy is going to at any time in his life look down and think to himself, Damn, I really wish I had my foreskin.

I beg to differ, since Foreskin restoration devices and information has gone up dramatically in the past years.

You know what, I'm really enjoying this debate, it's well structured, not falling into politics and actually very interesting to read. It is indeed a very rare thing here in the UK and if I saw one without it's helmet I think I'd be scared

Yeah I agree. Funny though, not one post here has convinced me that either way is "wrong."
If you have it done, you have it done. If you dont, you dont. Who honestly gives a f***? 😛
Either way a boy is still a boy and a man is still a man.

LOL, ironically that's exactly what I've heard from some people. It is very common.

It is the parents call, but once again it will effect the person for the rest of their lives which is unfair. Driving home obviously has a clear purpose. There are many more reasons why you should drive home than not. There aren't, however, more reasons for being circumcised at birth than being uncircumcised.

I wasn't saying he was qualified in that way, either, but as he has to put people under anesthesia on a daily basis so he knows what he's doing. More so than I or you do.

How will the way your penis look effect you for your whole life?
It's not just the way your penis looks. It's about many more things. Once again, the foreskin is full of nerve endings and provides a natural lube for sexual intercourse. Without these two things, there is less sexual pleasure. I've said it before.

And if you think I'm being extreme, I'm really not. I have a friend called Chris who had his chopped off when he was 15. He absolutely regrets it and says it's the worst thing that's ever happened to him for reasons such as lost sensitivity, his glans feels cold, and it makes his penis less attractive.

Darn, all these years of having amazing / mind-blowing sex feel like they never happened because another circumcised person complains about having less sensitivity to you... Wait, no they dont. 😎

Didn't understand that

If you're saying that circumcised people don't have less sensitivity, you're wrong. It's well known. The glans is extremely sensitive for uncut folks because the foreskin is almost always covering it, acting as a kind of protective seal. It's not used to contact, and it is naturally sensitive. As cut people always have their glans exposed and rubbing against things, it soon loses it's sensitivity.

Being a funny guy is great, but I'm at this point in the debate when I'd rather people just read previous posts of mine. I've explained everything at least three times.

Rubbing against what? Their soft cloth'ed underwear? Its not like its made of sand paper

Anyway even if that were true, the circumsized guy would last longer in bed than the more sensitive guy. 😎

theezy, yes, rubbing against their underwear. Of course it loses sensitivity. Not going to get too in depth about this, but I realise there is an argument for both sides, you're free to your opinion on that. You can't really know if you've consciously been both cut and uncut though.

Even then you still would not know because every person's body is different and every person's body reacts differently to different things. You can't say that all people will experience <insert here> because some do.

This whole debate is pretty ridiculous.

Even if someone's body is different if you are cut the head will ALWAYS be less sensitive than a intact males, that's a fact.

If you cut off a large piece of skin and leave the flesh showing and you keep touching it and rubbing it up against things will it always be sore? No, it will stop being sensitive after a while.

Not really, everyone is different. You cant expect the same results in every single patient. Its possible (although it may be unlikely) for a circumsized male to have an even more sensitive penis than a uncircumcised one. Even a doctor would tell you that.

Anyway, no matter how sensitive the outside is, the grand finale is still going to be the same. I'd say the circumsized person is at an advantage when it comes to pleasing his partner because he has more "resistance" and is not so sensitive. Maybe thats why all Irividing's whores were complaining about the uncircumcised guys.

As this is just a thread on circumcision and not gender specific, how about I throw the female circumcision into the debate?

This practice is done is several countries too, Africa and Asia being the prime area's. This is not done for any hygiene reason, purely for sexual purposes. It is done in the belief that a female should not feel sexual pleasure and leaves many girls with a lifetime of health and mental issues.

Well Andi there isn't much argument for that. It's just brutal mutilation for no good reason.

and that is true for both.

Not really, there are good reasons for keeping it and there are good reasons for taking it off.

The hygiene argument seems ludicrous to me. If I don't keep my toes clean, I could develop athlete's foot. Instead of choosing to look after my feet, should I cut my toes off?

Great idea. I should try that.
