Would Clam Sentinel : http://clamsentinel.sourceforge.net/ + http://www.clamwin.com/ be good enough to protect a Windows 7 computer?
I read many Windows 98 and ME users also use ClamWin with the Clam Sentinel Active shield add-on for their antivirus solution since it is so lightweight and the only option since AVG and many good antivirus companies stop making antiviruses for Windows 98 and ME.
I also run SuperAntiSpyware Paid edition (with active shield) and http://Immunet.com on my computer.
A lot of people tend to make fun of the ClamAV definition files because it is open source since they feel open source products are less secure then close-source products like AVG, Symantec, and McAfee.
I'm thinking of not installing an antivirus like MS security Essentials, Avast, antivir, AVG, or mainstream antivirus since I find them to use 60MBs of RAM or more on average and run a bunch of little services like mail scanner, network shield, IM shield, etc in memory.
