I have no idea about classic horror films in other countries since I always watch local films during my childhood. I just noticed that our classic horror films suck when it comes to prosthetics and special effects. Stories always involve mythical creatures in our country. The make up and prosthetics really look bad back then. They look like someone who will attend a halloween party, someone who bought a mask from a toy store. But now, there is a big improvement in horror films. The stories are more realistic. It's more about ghosts and the make up and prosthetics were able to give justice to it. The story and the special effects both look realistic now. It makes me like horror movies even more.
