I see in some forums a classification of members like Newbie, Junior, Senior, etc. Do you think it is a good idea to classify the community members? It has pros and cons to me. For the issue, those with high classification will be elated but what about those who couldn't be promoted to a decent class? But overall, I think it's okay for established forums especially when there are perennial or pioneer members. Just like giving awards, the title (of classification) is already an accolade that is taken seriously by some people.

I am not a big fan of non staff member groups as I find that the only thing they usually serve to do is breed an entitlement mentality and/or elitism in some people. If you are worthy of standing out then you will in spite of the absence of some special user group so I am confident that no one worthy of distinction will not receive that distinction even if there is no user group pointing to it. If anything, I myself am an example of this in action and I am sure there are others who can say the same if they wanted to. 🙂

The only real non-staff group I've ever been a fan of is the sort of "VIP" group that's made for those special people that really go above and beyond for a community.

sometimes when you are active on the forum and you work yourself up to each rank and the results that I feel good to see my account changes that I worked for.

Like I joined FP over an year ago as an newbie who had no idea on the system, Now in today's world look at me 🙂 Yet I'm no VIP or anything yet
