Cleaning those Bookmarks

Yeah, do you clean out your bookmarks? Like organize them? Like I tweeted a bit ago, I have too many to go through, so I spent the last week clearing some out and putting the rest into folders.

Do you take this liberty or do you just have a pigsty of bookmarks?

I don't even use bookmarks! Never really have because I haven't seen the need to use them yet. I don't visit many sites.

I delete bookmarks to sites which are gone, or change owners like Myspace, and now are not as good because companies like News Corp./Fox ruined Myspace by becoming greedy, and filling it with large ads. I also delete bookmarks to topics like Biology, Math, English, etc which I am no longer interested in because I no longer take High School courses.

I organize my bookmarks into folders by topic like forums, blogs, and e-mail to make visiting multiple sites by topic easier.

That is the exact same thing I do! It makes life so much easier when you can find anything you need when you need it. Especially when you have a lot of bookmarks 🙂

It's funny because I only use the bookmarks that I have on my bar. Any other bookmarks that I have are in the "Other Bookmarks" folder and I just put there so I don't loose them if I ever want to see them again. It's a sea of disorganization in there, so I never really go in that folder.

In addition, with chrome, all of my most visited sites are saved on my New Tab page, so I use that feature a lot on top of my bookmarks.

Most of my bookmarks are Youtube videos I want to save or show someone for later. And also just junk I find around the web that I might use one day. I almost never delete them.

I rarely add bookmarks to begin with, so I never need to clean them out.

I let them acumilate for a few months becuase im lazy but when im bored or on a day when i dont have much going on i organise them and remove ones i dont need anymore

I got alot of bookmarks,but they are all sorted so it is not big mess. 🙂

I recently just cleaned and organized mine. I had a bunch and it was a mess. Now though I have them broke down into things like Forums, Webmaster, Music & Videos, Social. I use the bookmark toolbar for my top 10 sites. I also have them centered instead of starting from the left.

I only use social sites and forum sites to do SEO. So i don't need to clean those bookmarks.
