What are your opinions on the adding the "Click Here" phrase to the anchor text of links like "Click Here to read articles on forum advertising" rather then "Read articles on forums advertising" for the links anchor text.

Would I get more refferal traffic if I included the phrase "Click Here" in my links rather then just anchor text like "Fishing online stories".

Does the term "Click Here" encourage more people to click on your link, or does it make links seem kind of spammy and unattractive?

I think If your audience are mostly computer illiterates, or new internet users having the term "Click Here" in the link could help them out in finding more of your links on your website. Click Here phrase might also convince undecided readers to click on your links if they are not sure if they want to click on your link or not.

But, I think adding "Click Here" to a forum sig, and the navigation bars for websites are not that good since it might make your Anchor text not as effective since search engines might rank you lower in the search rankings if your link's anchor text is "Click here for car articles" rather then "Car articles" when people search for the term "car articles" on search engines.

Plus, it can make your links look very long.

Just use the anchor text, or use both by having "Click Here:" or "Click Here ->" then the linked anchor text.

I largely agree with Whaturmuva. You will probably get the highest click through rate if you use "Click Here for Fishing online stories"

I also agree with him. That's the best way and the way to go.
