When you notice how many clicks you've got on your promotion thread I've found it isn't always good to jump for joy. Not that I do that anyway 🙂

With clicks it's how many clicks have been in that topic. You could've done the most clicking from a guest view and a logged in view.

If you have 1000 clicks, more than likely at least a few hundred are yours.

So, the 'clicks' feature isn't as helpful for promotion as it seems.

It says "Views", not "clicks". 😕 And I don't think guest views count.

i usually remember the last time i saw it

i remember the number and before going directly to the thread (if bookmarked) i check if it has increased (or minus 1 page view if i clicked directly to the topic)

The count is for views and not clicks i believe. So it doesent even mean they clicked through and viewed your website. It just means they viewed your post. Use Google analytics if you want something more accurate on your site.
