cloud Computing is awesome, it is where all the applications (or most) are run by internet connection, or thats how they work.

It frees up space and time on your computer. I know Chrome and Ubuntu use this, and they are extremly fast operating systems.

What do you think, do you like CC?

Nice theory, won't work perfectly for a long while. My connection speed is usually around 30kb/s, that means on average it takes around 20 minutes to load a 4 minute Youtube video. Anything Internet based for me would use up my already lacking connection. Until the Internet gets more powerful in terms of bandwidth, things like this can never work perfectly for everyone.

No they dont, I cannot access many prisims it provides because of the Internet speed i have, but they will probably think up some other wierd way to make stuff faster 😛

That is very interesting! It is actually new to me. Saving up free space is always good as mine fills pretty fast. I have a 320GB hard drive so its not all the way filled, but it could easily.

You must not know much about it, honestly. Eventually, when everyone worldwide has a blazing fast internet connection, it will make more sense for giant servers to hold programs & information rather than our own hard disks.

Until that day (when will it be? Around 100 years in the future) cloud computing is still just a small spec in the future of general use of the Internet. I think it's rather rude to insult one's intellect on a given subject just because they forward their opinion. I don't think you know much about it if you believe that everyone is going to want to have servers holding their programs and rely on an Internet connection to run a program. I won't, I like all my programs running on my computer (or home server) so do I not know much about cloud computing? Or am I not allowed to voice my opinion and believe there isn't much of an advantage opposed to my own computers?

I know quite alot about it.

I still find it not useful.

Plus there is no way it can be fully used right now due to bandwidth and such.

Infact if you are not an average joe email person or a few link checks.

Then it won't be useful at all.

Eh? Another thing I've never heard of. It seems interesting though. 🙂

I don't think it be useful for something like gaming since loading times will be slow due to bandwidth limitation.

It might be good for listening to your MP3s, and low-medium quality video.

Plus, it will sure suck if you are working on your homework in a cloud software and your internet connection stop working or the website is doing maintenance.

Cloud computing will is most useful for backing up your files, e-mails, calander, or chatting with others online.

I'm kind of worried about someone hacking my cloud software account since I would not want someone stealing, changing and deleting my files.
