Cloud Flare

What are your thoughts on CF and do you use it? I've just configured the forum I'm opening soon to run with CF. It loads a whole lot faster than normal. :great:

I will use cloudflare if the site I am running isn't on ssl.

Its really good. It caches site better and enable faster loading, and moreover, it provides small scale DDOS protection.

I would like to use it but when I tried it out I had a horrible exp with it.

For like 4 days my site was down due it not working... And I tried everything to get it to work.

Did you do the nameservers? It should have gone through or you would have contacted them 🙂

Yes of course I did them. And I also asked support, but got nothing from that.

Weird they've been very supportive to me. Was it a holiday or something? Because they wouldn't have been in their office.

I've considered using CloudFlare myself on one of my sites in the past but didn't because I've heard things about it being slow and such. Since then I think they've added a lot of locations worldwide, so I may need to look into it again and see if it'd be a good match for me.

CloudFlare is awesome! I've used it and am pretty happy (of-course there was a downtime for a whole day... not complaining 😛 )

But as I use an SSL now, I've moved to my non-CDN...
