So I own a technology news and reviews blog (Geeks Hut) and today I found out that CNET (the LARGEST technology blog in the world) linked to one of my stories as a source. They receive close to 5 million unique visitors a month!
In comparison, Apple revealed in October that its iMessage text service had delivered about 300 billion texts sent by iOS users during the previous 12 months -- an average of less than a billion a day.
I would have to say, this is a pretty cool achievement to be recognised by CNET! 😎
Yeah, I can't actually believe it! Really cool achievement and my traffic is beginning to spike as well, hopefully I can keep it up and become more noticed by other blogs too! 🙂
@ Geff: I actually had an unexplained 420% increase in traffic recently which could've been due to this and I've also been ranking really well for image searches! I'm not doing well in Google Search, but in Google Image Search I'm getting a lot of traffic. I've got 2,000 UV through just one image because I list high for "iPhone 1" in google images! 🙂
I would say congrats for hit the big time with a big fish in the market. I guess your hard work has paid off. I wish you all the best for the future and hope other popular sites link to more of your topics.
He said in his first post that CBS was one station. I don't know if that's a news station completely...I don't watch much TV at all anymore...and I think Cnet is like an online news site. I've heard of the second one, not sure if I've seen the site before or not.
Well, don't quote me on CBS, though, because I'm not 100% positive... I could be totally wrong for all we know. And actually, when I first read this post, I thought ZINC said CNN at first. Probably just a mark of how tired I was getting at the time, lol. But I think just about everybody's familiar with Cnet, though.
Every time I see your threads, I think: "Wow, his site has hit another level entirely." You've had incredible success, I hope you have more great things in the future as well. 🙂
