Cocktails and Beers

So I've been getting into cocktology lately and I was just wondering if anyone else shared this passion. The same goes for beer too as there is a lot of science behind a good beer as well.

With cocktails, I really like experimenting with whiskey. The depth whiskey gives to a drink is always excellent in taste.

Some of my favorite cocktails: The Vesper Martini, a Negroni, a Manhattan, Rum and Coke, and Jameson and Pepsi.

If this topic gets busy enough, we could share recipes for different cocktails we've had, recommendations, and just enjoyments on new cocktails we tried or liquors.

As for beer, I do like Bud Light. There honestly isn't too much in the way it's brewed that puts it above other beer. For the fancier stuff, I do enjoy lagers as I feel lagers are slowly fazing out and being replaced with the crap IPAs.

Well, I don't usually have the time or money to spend mixing all kinds of different cocktails and whatnot. But if I am splurging a little bit, I'll pick up some crown apple and mix it with coke. Very smooth and makes for a very sweet and satisfying drink 🙂

If I'm just trying to have a drink after a long day, I'll pour up a nice size screwdriver and unwind that way.

As for beer, I prefer bud light or miller high life. Sometimes my dad brews his own beer at home too, but they tend to be just ok 😛

I'm a fan of Not Your Father's Root Beer. I also enjoy beer from local breweries every now and then, although I prefer the hard root beer. I don't mind the taste of beer, although I also don't particularly like the taste either.

I love Margaritas though!

I'm not big on cocktails to be honest with you. I drink "chick" beer like Yuengling, Bud Light Lime, etc. Sometimes I drink these awesome things called MFers (you fill in what you think they are). They taste like Fudgesickles and in shot format they will mess you up quick!

I love the Root Beer flavored beers. So yummy. There is one from called Coney Island Root Beer which I thought was better than the Not Your Father's personally. Margaritas are phenomenal. Just most of the time they're made from a crap pre-made mix at lower-end bars. If you're ever at a high class bar, make sure you order a margarita because you will taste the difference between a top shelf tequila and triple sec and of course fresh sweet and sour mix.

Yuengling is what I normally drink on $1 beer nights haha. Bud Light Limes are amazing during the Summer though.

I don't really drink beer anymore, that's actually what I used to drink when I was just starting out drinking. I enjoy things like Zombie Bacardi which has Bacardi and other flavors in it of course. I enjoy Vodka and Redbull together in most cases as well.

I enjoy different drinks from restaurants, usually they are the 'fruity' ones. Like from chilis I get the Tropical Sunrise. 🙂 I'm pretty easy to make happy though.

Vodka and Red Bulls are very tasty but soooo bad for your heart haha. Plus they make me do stupid things. I do like fruity drinks too. 😛

I definitely agree with this. Unfortunately many people get addicted and it does ruin life, but it is still an art with craft cocktails that I enjoy the most regardless of getting drunk or not.

I definitely agree with this. Unfortunately many people get addicted and it does ruin life, but it is still an art with craft cocktails that I enjoy the most regardless of getting drunk or not.

I've recently taken an interested in self-made cocktails. I made a Moscow Mule earlier today, and it was pretty good, although I think I'll be refining the ingredient ratios to find my perfect match. I've also had a lot of luck with Dr. Pepper + Captain Morgan, and a mix of Tequila, Triple sec, and Ginger Ale that I'm not sure has a name yet.
