Do you think the Colts can contend this year without Manning?

To be honest it;s a good thing. It has been a long time coming. He has been sucking more and more every year.

I don't think they will be able to content this year without Peyton Manning sadly. I like Kerry Collins, he's one of my favorite quarterbacks of all-time, but he just can't do what Peyton Manning has had to constantly do for the Colts to have them contending each year. This horrid season will show how the Colts have been too reliant on Peyton Manning.

Nothing's impossible in the NFL. And they are in a weaker division, so it is possible.

Just not very likely. Best case scenario they get something better than the 28th overall pick in the draft, and are able to draft a difference maker. Offense, defense, doesn't matter. They just need help. So add that draft pick along with a (hopefully) healthy Peyton next year, and they'll be back to winning. Not to mention, the players will all learn a little bit about winning this season when they don't have him (Manning) there to save their arses.

Manning makes the Colts way better. They are garbage without him. Not only does he make his receivers and running backs better, he actually makes his defense better. When Peyton is QB, the defense gets to sit on the bench and rest for a lot more and longer. The defense gets extra rest when you have a quarterback that can chew up the clock on offense.

Apparently you haven't watched him last year he just sucked the team picked up his slack. When he did practice this year he looked plain awful.

Yet he still passed for 4,700 yards and had a quarterback rating of 91.9 last year. I don't understand how that is sucking. That is still top quarterback statistics and it's around his average season statistics throughout his career.

That's incorrect. He threw seventeen interceptions last year, and he had sixteen interceptions in the year before last. So, the amount of interceptions he had last season is actually a consistent number. He has thrown as much as 28 interceptions in a season though.

What year am i thinking of i know one year was considered one of the worst seasons he has ever had with interceptions. I stopped watching the colts i just don't remember when i stopped watching them. Don't get me wrong I like the colts hell i live in indianapolis. I remember that year he pissed me off.

He had 28 interceptions in his rookie year. You are probably talking about his 23 interception season he had a few years ago though.

Without Manning..they can't do much. Reggie Wayne is about all that's left.

That's probably it i just cant remember. Its been a while i don't know why i thought last year.

Well the Colt's will now have to do what most other team's have to do, build a good team that can't rely completely on an all-star quarterback to win games.

That's a bad question haha the Colts can't survive without Peyton Manning. The only two other star players are a wide reciever & Dwight Freeney. You can't have a star reciever without a quarterback and you can't win games with just defense. The Colts defense is also small and defense are getting bigger and strong. THE COLTS CAN'T EVEN WIN 3 GAMES WITHOUT MANNING!
