Comments on a blog?

I've got a website that promotes ideas for apps, and occasionally (maybe once a fortnight) I'll write a quick blog on whatever happens to be on my mind in relation to phones/apps or technology in general.

At the moment, I don't have the ability for people to comment on my blog, so I was wondering if people have any general thoughts or comments on how much work it would be to add comments and whether having comments would add value compared to how much additional work they would take to implement and monitor.

Depending on what blog software you're using, adding comments shouldn't be difficult in the slightest. Monitoring and if you choose to reply is what would take up the most time. There are certainly benefits to allowing people comment on your blog in my opinion.
